Chapter 1 · General provisions
TWISA is a nonprofit association established under Taiwanese law. It promotes cooperation among members, wider adoption of cybersecurity solutions developed in Taiwan, and international exchange. The association operates nationwide under the oversight of the Ministry of the Interior.
Chapter 2 · Members, directors and supervisors
The Articles define corporate, individual, honorary and sponsoring membership, along with eligibility, dues and membership rights. Corporate membership has two tiers. Honorary and sponsoring members do not have voting or electoral rights. Directors and supervisors serve three-year terms.
Chapter 3 · Governance and responsibilities
The General Assembly is TWISA’s highest decision-making body. Members elect the Board of Directors and the Board of Supervisors. The Chair represents TWISA, and the Secretariat manages the association’s day-to-day affairs. The Board may establish committees to carry out specific work.
Chapter 4 · Meetings
The General Assembly meets annually. The Board of Directors and Board of Supervisors each meet at least once every six months. This chapter also sets notice periods, quorum and voting requirements, when members may appoint a proxy, and which matters may be handled by video conference.
Chapter 5 · Funding and accounts
This chapter sets out the association’s sources of funding, annual budget and financial reporting. The financial year runs from January 1 through December 31. It also sets out how the association’s remaining assets are handled if it dissolves.
Chapter 6 · Supplementary provisions
The General Assembly adopts the Articles and amendments, which are then filed with the competent authority. Applicable law governs matters the Articles do not cover.
