Tokyo’s 2026 expansion support for overseas deep-tech companies
Tokyo’s 2026 program advertised up to ¥100 million over three years for each selected company. Applications closed September 30.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government sought five overseas deep-tech companies looking to establish a business in Tokyo. Fields listed in the announcement included digital and cybersecurity, quantum technology, robotics, AI and data science, energy, semiconductors and life sciences.
The application window ran from May 14 to September 30, 2026. The original schedule called for document and presentation reviews in October and November, with decisions provisionally scheduled for early December.
